Why am I asked for an actual publication date for my release?

The end goal of a release is not the announcement of the selected tracks – although it is a very special moment! The end goal is the actual publication of the signed track(s) on the label. And for that, we need a date from you.

You can choose a publication date in as soon as 3 weeks from the start of your release (start of Open for submissions phase) – at the latest 10 months.

At the time of the publication date, you will receive an email from us to remind you to end your release by uploading the final files.

Tip: Are you unsure about your publication date? That’s ok. You can choose an 'estimated' date which means that your release will come out 4 weeks before or after the date. Are you even more unsure than that? We then recommend waiting until you have a more certain release date before you create your release on G=TE.
